Game play changes to humans, to be balanced and competitive

I know this post exactly isnt professional but im just going to vent out some ideas for gameplay.
Humans : The chaingun feels way to sloppy. when using it all it does it shake your screen uncontrollably unless you crouch.
2. the jetpack. the changes made to it feel good but if this game is going to be a first person aliens vs humans team game it needs potential to make plays. as well as enforcing the rule to work with your team. first things first. the jetpack it feels a little to slow in my opinion unless you’re high in the sky out of dragoon pounce range, you’re a slow moving target.
To make this feel a little more usefull you could add a boost. What this boost could do is boost you slightly in the direction you are moving, but as a result it destorys the battery. as it maybe 50% of its battery is lost when you boost so you cannot spam it. you’d have to use your boost accordingly and wait for it to charge before you can boost again.
the shotgun feels bad too. if you shoot a shot gun in other fps games. the spread isnt that bad. one thing to help make it feel more like a shot gun then a 5 meter heath destoryer is to make the spread less BUT you make the pellets do less damage an add more. so like instead of 5 pellets doing 50 damage each per pellet you do 15 pellet that do 16.666 damage so it still adds to 250 in total. but it allows it to feel it has the proper range of a shotgun without losing damage. in tremulous anything past 5 meters makes it feel bad due to the small amount of pellets it has per shot.
Also adding voice lines on teams would help add a sense of communciation. During intense games. stopping to type somthing important can still lose you the game because you have to “stop” having a key the brings up a box of voice lines to communciate with the team would help influence team work.
some examples could be. “Group up” “Fall back” “Attack” etc.

Voice commands is something that we have been working on. We have an initial implementation ready for testing, but we still need the audio to be recorded for the planned commands.

@Banana , here is the topic where we have been discussing voice commands:

Feel free to read it over and add to the discussion. “Necroing” old topics on our forums is encouraged if it means adding something new to an old discussion, especially with topics related to development features/enhancements  .

There are existing implementation of these sorts of voice commands:

  • Red Eclipse voice commands in combat
  • Urban Terror has an implementation, thought the default key binds could be more intuitive

All of this being said I am still partial to the Ash and Bender voices :slightly_smiling_face:
