I propose 4 teams from 4 time zones. East coast America, west coast America, Mideast America, and EU-UK FR and Netherlands

East coast can consist of 6 players in said time zone (including Canada)

West coast " "

Mideast has a number of players, Texas can be considered in this time zone as well despite it spanning through 2-3 time zones.

eu can be a collective of players OR a UK team and then a collective of players from the countries with less amounts of Trem players

Before deciding on teams, and the regions that are represented, players should sign up for the GrangerHub Olympics indicating their region. There are a lot of assumptions being made before we even know who is actually going to be playing from where. (not to mention there are a few other continents with Tremulous players)

neat. looks like we have some interest. ive been a part of these olympics in the past and they prove to be very fun and will draw interest to the game and to grangerhub.org from newbies too.

Sparky: when things get a bit more organized, do you see a problem with advertising on pub (start up message etc) to come to forums to register for the tournament?

To make this happen, we need people to start the buzz. We need committed players. Please spread the word so we can start team formation soon. I was thinking we start the tournament in late january or 1st if february, free from holiday interuptions.

I am up for a UK team. I think combining much of the rest of Europe would probably be best (or could have Eastern Europe team+Western Europe (excluding UK)).

4+ would be ideal, depends on the turnout.

I’d like to still continue with this “Olympics”, we need to get an approximation of players and form teams.
