GrangerPub server rules, features, and admin list

Herro and welcome to all Tremulous players.

GrangerPub U.S. East was created with the intention of filling in the gap left by the death of AA2 pub, and as such has similar settings. It is hosted in New York (east coast, better for europeans.) and runs unlagged.

In the case where the server list is not working, you can access the server by pressing the ~ or ² key in tremulous, writing

For 1.1:
/connect 162.248.95.116:30720

and

For 1.2:
/connect 162.248.95.116:30721

and pressing Enter. Now for the srs bisnes:

##Server rules:

  • Rules are subject to change at the discretion of the server owner, and any changes will be published with or without advanced notice.
  • Any violation(s) of the rules do not justify other players to also violate the rules. Everyone is accountable for their own actions, and consequences will apply to all violators. Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse for breaking them.
  • Use the “/ignore” command (instead of mute) or “/suggest ignore” (available soon), if you don’t want to see someone’s allowed chat (chat that doesn’t violate the chat rules or other policies / terms). Reasons for /suggest ignore do not have to be valid. Admins and players should take a stand against hate speech with /suggest ignore.

  1. No vote, nor teamvote, nor /suggest abuse. No excessive spamming of called votes nor /suggest, nor calling the same votes nor /suggest that have recently failed. No using multiple clients to cast votes. No using votes nor /suggest in a way they were not intended to be used (where another vote type or /suggest type or other command, which is intended for that use, would be more suitable). No server takeovers (Kicking others with votes and taking the server for yourself). No glitching votes nor /suggest. No calling votes nor a /suggest which require a valid reason (like mute and kick require) without providing a reason that is both valid and accurate. The rules designate which violations are valid reasons for which kinds of votes. A violation of rule 1 is a valid reason for denycallvotes votes (available soon) , mute votes, and/or kick votes depending on the situation. Violations of this rule may result in administrative action taken in the form of warnings, canceled votes, denycallvotes (available soon) , mutes, kicks, and/or bans.

  2. Do not impersonate any admin or falsely claim you are an administrator or GrangerHub staff member. A violation of rule 2 is a valid reason for mute votes and/or kick votes depending on the situation. Violations of this rule may result in administrative action taken in the form of warnings, mutes, kicks, and/or bans.

  3. Cursing, foul language, swearing, profanities, trash talking, distasteful/controversial/taboo/offensive chat, disrespecting both players and/or admins, as well as any other undesirable chat that doesn’t violate any of the rules are ALLOWED (but not condoned, encouraged, nor recommended), and are NOT valid reasons to mute, kick, nor ban (neither by admin nor callvote). Reasonable arguments and civilized debates are also ALLOWED. However, chat may not cross the line from disrespect to persistently tormenting/pestering/persecuting as addressed in rule 4, and chat may not cross the line from civilized debate to persistent flaming as addressed in rule 5.

  4. No persistently tormenting/pestering/persecuting nor targeting any individual(s) with attacks that could cause harm, induce excessive emotional stress, and/or traumatize. If you are continually pestering someone, when they say “NO” (or stop, quit, etc.), you should STOP. A violation of rule 4 is a valid reason for mute votes, and/or kick votes depending on the situation. Violations of this rule may result in administrative action taken in the form of warnings, mutes, kicks, and/or bans.

  5. No flame wars (not to be confused with civilized discussions of controversial topics, nor with friendly trash talk banter) between 2 or more players in any non-private chat. Take any fights to private messages. Don’t feed trolls. A violation of rule 5 is a valid reason for mute votes for flooding, and for all participants in any non-private persistent flame war incident, regardless of who initiated it. Violations of this rule may result in administrative action taken in the form of warnings and/or mutes, kicks and/or bans.

  6. Never share any sensitive personally identifiable information, about yourself nor about others, including but not limited to: phone numbers, mailing/physical addresses, financial information, legal information, and so on. No sharing passwords, QKEYs, GUIDs, or other private keys. Seeking out this information (phishing), is strictly forbidden. Respect other players’ desired level of privacy. Do not share any non-sensitive personally identifiable information about another person (information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context, including but not limited to: an individual’s real name, contact information, profiles on social media, etc.), unless that non-sensitive personally identifiable information has been publicly disclosed directly and intentionally by that individual on public Tremulous media, (for example in-game chat on public servers, or public sections of GrangerHub’s site or services), or that individual has given you or someone else their express consent to publicly disclose it on Tremulous media. A violation of rule 6 is a valid reason for mute votes, and/or kick votes depending on the situation. Violations of this rule may result in immediate administrative action taken in the form of warnings, mutes, kicks, and extended or permanent bans.

  7. No linking to sites or software containing pornography or other obscene content (including shock sites), criminal activity (phishing sites, copyright infringing material, obtaining unauthorized access, etc.), hacks or tools that may provide unfair advantage (aim / trigger bots, wall hacks, etc.), any kind of virus, worm, adware, malware, spyware, nor any other potentially unwanted program, network or security exploit. A violation of rule 7 is a valid reason for mute votes, and/or kick vote depending on the situation. Violations of this rule may result in administrative action taken in the form of warnings, mutes, kicks, and/or bans.

  8. No telling players to enter harmful commands that interfere with their gaming experience or their operating system (for example: unbind all, showimages, disconnect, quit, etc…). A violation of rule 8 is a valid reason for mute votes, and/or kick votes depending on the situation. Violations of this rule may result in administrative action taken in the form of warnings, mutes, kicks, and/or bans.

  9. The use of hacks/cheats is strictly prohibited. Violations of rule 9 is a valid reason for kick votes. Violations of this rule may result in administrative action taken in the form of warnings, kicks, and/or bans.

  10. Basenading/Deconstructing/destroying your own base to the detriment of your team, malicious building (glitchbuilding), malicious behaviour (such as team killing (tking) and bleeding), and all other forms of griefing are strictly forbidden. Violations of rule 10 is a valid reason for denybuild votes kick votes. Violations of this rule may result in administrative action taken in the form of warnings, denybuilds, kicks, and/or bans.

  11. Disruptive unsolicited advertisements unrelated to Tremulous or GrangerHub, and automated advertisements are not allowed, nor are any binds used to advertise anything. Discussions are not ads and are not unsolicited. Discussions of any project, product, and/or service are generally permitted provided they don’t violate any of the other rules. A violation of rule 11 is a valid reason for mute votes. Violations of this rule may result in administrative action taken in the form of warnings and/or mutes.

  12. No ghosting (reporting the activities of a team to the other team). A violation of rule 12 is a valid reason for mute or kick votes. Violations of this rule may result in administrative action taken in the form of warnings, mutes, kicks, and/or bans.

  13. No using player names to intentionally impersonate another registered player. No using clan tags of registered clans which you aren’t a member of. No player names that violate other rules. A violation of rule 13 is a valid reason for kick votes. Violations of this rule may result in administrative action taken in the form of warnings, renames, kicks, and/or bans.

  14. No flooding the chat. A violation of rule 14 is a valid reason for mutes and/or kicks. Violations of this rule may result in administrative action taken in the form of warnings, mutes, kicks, and/or bans.

  15. No begging for admin, higher levels, or other elevated privileges. Admin applications at http://forum.grangerhub.org are required for consideration of potential admins. A violation of rule 15 is a valid reason for mute votes. Violations of this rule may result in administrative action taken in the form of warnings and/or mutes.

  • Repeating any offense(s) will result in worsening the sanctions taken, a doubled ban length, a tripled ban length and/or permanent banning.
  • No encouraging or instigating others to violate rules.
  • Evading kicks & bans is not smart! If you feel your ban was unjustified, please appeal on the website and be polite! It will probably help with removing the ban. Admins will increase the duration of your ban every time you evade. We suggest and encourage you to report evaders to our admins or on the website so we can be aware and take appropriate measures against them.
  • If an admin’s response to a situation doesn’t comply exactly with code of conduct, and it falls into a gray area, the benefit of the doubt will generally be given to the admin.
  • Support chats, private messages from GrangerHub staff, moderators and game server administrators concerning the operations, administration or management of GrangerHub sites, services, or its users, are confidential between the individuals involved in the conversation. Do not share or publish any part of them (exception for reporting rule violations and/or admin abuse). Any chat that violates rules and/or threatens to violate rules may be reported.
  • Submitting a report without sufficient evidence, and/or without complying with the required report format will be considered an inadequate report, and will be automatically closed. Submitting falsified evidence, and/or spamming of inadequate reports, will result in a ban.

Very good rules…Thanks you. i 100% agree this :P… also i think Multiclient voting is really abusing, what should deny and punish, if some do try it (long story…but i got this shit by himself…when one guy via multiclient do votekicked me without reason :frowning: more that 10 times in one 1.1 server …so i know why Multiclient voting is bad :stuck_out_tongue: )

New GrangerPub rules have been published and are in effect as of now.
