#2 Important things people don’t know when using discourse.
###1) Text formatting
Discourse use BBCode and Markdown.
To make it simple:
Bold
May be done with *Bold* or [b]Bold[/b] or highlighting the word and pressing CRTL+B
Italic
May be done with *Italic* or [i]Italic[/i] or highlighting the word and pressing CRTL+I
Underline
May be done only with [u]Underline[/u]
Strike
May be done only with [s]Strike[/s]

What? OH, you mean *THIS* instead of THIS?
Pretty simple, just use \ before the formatting for example → \ *Hi* , and the format will not be done.
I think this tool… have no purpose at all, you only get to write * and # without them formatting the words, but I bet you didn’t know it. HA!
