International Tremulous Tournament of Champions

I will be starting a tournament that will begin when all slots are full. It will be a knockout round system, with each series lasting 3 games. If a series happens to tie, then the team that won last gets to choose what race they want and that game will decide who wins the round. It will be a total of 32 players max in this tournament. There are no picking teams, each seed is randomly drawn and put into a group. Who you get is who you get, and you cannot ask to be changed from whatever group you are put on. You and your opponent must decide which map you want to play on, since I didn’t like the idea of forcing ATCS upon everyone. No cheating is allowed. If one of your team members happen to not show up, then you are able to use a substitute in place of them. You are only allowed to use 1 substitute, and if your members fail to show up then you must play with what you have even if it is not 4 members total. Time limit will be 45.

Even with 100% participation, I don’t even think tremulous has enough players to fill every group.

There are way more than enough active players to overfill the slots. There are even enough active players on the forums to overfill the slots. The real question is how many active players on the forums will sign up. I guess we’ll see :slight_smile: . @Ckit, are you signing up? If need be, the number of groups could always be adjusted before the Tournament begins.

@Ninja with what means would the random selections for the team assignments take place?

I will simply generate a number between 1-8 for each contestant, and whatever number gets generated they get put into the corresponding group.

ramdom.org does not give you ramdom number, there is a program behind it, so it’s not totaly ramdom.

Update: I’m broke AF, but I can offer the winners of the tournament…wait for it…1$ for each player of the winning team. Stakes are high in this tournament!
