Well usually the server is Pure to decrease cheating? A anti-cheat I would suppose or to just help with it.
In all the previous games I had played on unpure server on Tremulous, I don’t recall seeing any cheaters.
Didn’t the test server do something like this awhile ago? Maybe if you poke @dGr8LookinSparky he can add it there?
Thank you, but I don’t want to test the skins. They are already working well since years. I want to play it on the standard server, not in some place where nobody plays lol.
If you wish to use client modifications on the public server, the only persons who can help are Sparky and Cron.
The pure setting helps keeping the server a bit cleaner of the hackers/cheaters that could use modified clients that contains hacks or any other content that may be unfair to other players. So it has a good reason to be still On.
At this point in time, no I don’t believe it’s possible since we require custom cgame/ui for compatibility.
Providing this capability is highly desired in the dev team and is on the roadmap. We do not have an ETA, however, but it will be after initial release.
