I am not making this up. Tonight I was reading over the commit history of the Tremulous Codes from over a decade ago, and I stumbled upon the revelation of the age old question “Where do grangers come from?”
What I discovered was that in the Tremulous code before the granger was called a granger it was called a builder, and before it was called a builder it was called Lucy. This is Lucy from Quake 3:
Now we also know where the granger’s plop sound came from.

What I’ve! discovered was that in the Tremulous History before the chain suit was called Chain suit/Battle Suit there was a mean’ol’hefty man it was called Keel. This is Keel from Quake 3:
Now we wonder where those pesky anti-rants come from.
Or maybe the actual chain suit is:

We’d wounder “Oh, Helper Bot, Sparky, Cron where did we get our Light Armour form? Our helmets?”
Well i’m here to also answer that question “Who is the human behind the game play?”
Well I did some research after looking over the Tremulous code and their History about a decade back and I tumbled upon this meet Doom Man, This is Doom Man from Quake 3:
Doom Man is the Main Quake player mostly what the starting new player and any other player would play as AKA:The default character Doom Man is the protagonist in most of the Doom series but who was he really? Was he that awesome man who came back from hell to beat up demons? No, was he that man who was a so good at his own game he’d make you rage quit? No, He was the one and only:
The Tremulous human, you see how could such a person take on Tyrants, Dragoons,Grangers, Dretchs, Basilisk,Spitfire,Marauder or any other alien with some classical dance moves to bust the aliens? Well its him alright through tough training and dance class 101, he’s pulled it all back we’d wounder where he went no? Well we’ve found him we have played him all along and now we know it!
The Armour that he wears is none other than classified as the “Light Armour” and “Helmet” including the Radar.
As notable he is fully human:
Now next time you bust a move on those aliens and kill them by yourself or with teammates take a second to ask?
This is the guy the real deal the “here we go.”
